It looks like Hotch ( Thomas Gibson has a wife who is having an affair. Did you not catch the phone call in which they hung up when Hotch answered and then her cell phone rang but she didn't answer it. Yes she left him for someone else. As for the ole hag who could not solve a misdemeanor I am not sure why they brought her on except to be a thorn in the teams side sort of like on CSI that dorky guy who is over the team. I see Mandy Patinkin as the sort of actor/character who would never return to the scene of a crime. (metaphorically speaking.) I think the show will continue to attract it's fans because the rest of the characters are strong enough to make it work. As for the new character, I think her part is going to be to create discord and discontent among the show's viewers via her condascending interference with the cast. She'll be the "soap opera element". As long as people are focusing on someone else's issues, they can forget their own for awhile. Post reply 0 out of 1 found this valuable.
