Can someone please help me figure out something about a timeline?

I'm wondering how old Reid was when his dad left him and his mom(I can't remember, and I can't recall what episode it was in), and I'm wondering if it was 20 years since he's seen his dad(like Reid said it was) or 17(like they had said earlier in the same episode).

According to 'In Name and Blood', Reid was ten when his dad left. In 'Memoriam', Rossi said it was 17 years since he'd left (and Reid was supposed to be 27 at the time). So, I'd go with that number. Reid's mention of 20 years seemed like more of an estimate/exaggeration/round number he could throw at his dad.

Thank you very much, Batgurl! Making another attempt at fanfic(my first for CM), and I was needing to know Reid's age, so this was a big help to me.
