"I am with you SandraDD. We need a Hotch centered episode - he is due."
With his kevlar on in 1 part and then no shirt on doing yard work in the 2nd part...... I'll need some tissues to wipe the drool from my screen!

I do have to say, seeing what kind of man he is on the show, I'm amazed he is living in his house and his wife and child are living in an apartment with her sister. I would think he would give up the house for them. He just seems the type to do that. Hope he makes a lot of money as she doesn't work and now he'll have to support 2 households (not that he's ever home).

Regardless, I'd take him anytime I could get him as well!

Maybe he didn`t have a chance to "give" the house. I think, she moved out in a hurry. Do you find this valuable?

#1hotchfan, I like your thinking. Pass the tissues to me too - major drooling in my house also.

I thought in Seven Seconds, he went to Haley's sister's house (not apartment). I think he would have given her the house also. I think maybe she just wanted to be with her sister for moral support etc.

There is something seriously wrong with Haley, in my opinion. He is waaay too hot to walk out on. But, the writers want to go that way. Dumb writers - don't they know that we see Haley as the luckiest woman on earth. I really liked the scenes with them together.

I think that had she stayed until he got home and told him that she wanted him to leave - he would have done what she asked. She didn't. Just left while he was out putting his life on the line. In the divorce she could get the house if she wants it. I had always thought that her sister did not live in the same area. It seemed like there was one show where she had come to visit. I always thought the sister didn't like him. Do you find this valuable?

Sue1313, I think you are right. I think it was Machismo when Haley's sister was visiting. Haley said something like, "Sis, I like having you visit, it is easier to get him to take time off" or something like that. Which would indicate that she doesn't live in the area. Yet, Hotch stopped by her sister's house to visit with Jack at the end of Seven Seconds. Hmm, another discrepancy maybe? Or, would he have stopped by in another city??? Do you find this valuable?

Wow, at first I thought this was about TG and his wife. Blame that on me be drugged up on cold medication.

Anyway, I also think the decision to stay with her sister was Haley's. Also, giving her the house might have made it too real. If he did nothing, he could tell himself it was temporary and she could move back any time. It'll be interesting to see what decisions are made now that Haley's filed for divorce.

Sue1313, I forgot that Seven Seconds was based on a mall in Virginia. It would be odd for him to drive a long distance to go to Haley's sister's house, wouldn't it? It was night when they found the girl at the mall and when he showed up at the sister's house, both Haley and the sister were in their pajamas. I think the writers forgot that the sister was supposed to be from out of town as Machismo implied. Typical for Hotch's storyline to be mixed up. Do you find this valuable?

Bessie_Mae - I hope you feel better!

Maybe Haley will chose to remain near family. That would be sad for little Jack to not be able to spend the time he can with his father. If Haley was worried about it before, it'll be worse now. Not saying she should stay with him for that reason, but she does love him, he just didn't do what she wanted. She didn't give him time to answer; he went to help them team when they were already "crippled" by Gideon's departure, his suspension and Prentiss' resignation, how could he not go and do his job at least one last time. She didn't give him time or take the time to understand why he went.

I am curious to see how this plays out and wonder if it will play part in the season finale.

That has bother me also #1hotchfan that she never waited for an answer to to try and talk about it more. You should not just jump up and end a marriage and take a son from his father. She knows the nature of his job and how important it was for him to help the team - a matter of life and death for people. I just don't understand her. She is like a child - give me what I want or it is over. He might just be better off without her.

Your good Mindsfan, I couldn't think of the show that it was on. They do seem to get his facts mixed up all the time. Don't the writers think we care and notice. Somebody said once that we have more time to go over the details and they were right. Wouldn't it be fun to have the job of viewing the show before it airs to look for details that are wrong.

Bluebird123, I agree completely. He does an awesome job with the character. Always so serious. Always the good guy - hero. That is why the divorce thing bothers me, I guess. He is loyal to his team AND his family (as best he can with the demands of the job). But, Haley isn't being loyal to him anymore - and they have probably been together for almost 20 years (given that they met in high school). I think I don't like her anymore. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

yes the closest we got was in natural born killer, and there was a lot of him in tribe. But a good 2 parter, kin to end game/revelations, centered on Aaron would be fabby Do you find this valuable?

It's funny Sue1313 - had Hotch NOT gotten suspended and not put in for the transfer, none of this would have happened. Well, maybe or maybe not. He was a prosecutor when they married, she must have supported him when he took the job with the BAU and knew what the job entailed because Rossi had been gone for what, 10 years (or however long) and it was implied that Hotch was there when Rossi left so, I mean she knew what the job was, what it entailed and that he "loved" his job, in a manner of speaking and he's good at it. Why change? why now? He is loyal to his team, he is loyal to his family. He gives 100% wherever he is and Rossi even indicated that Hotch used to call Haley like 20 times a day. If he didn't call, I'd wonder and worry but he called all the time, his family was always with him in his mind and heart, if not in body.

So, I totally agree with you. I see it as selfish and childish that she up and left and didn't wait for him to return. I would have respected my husband for going when they team needed him the most, regardless of what happened. Instead he came home to an empty house, she didn't give him a chance to work things out with her; she didn't give him a chance to follow up with the transfer. He even called Garcia and told her to stop with the computer glitches. I just hope however this plays out, he's not kept from his son.

A *lot* bothers me about Haley, but leaving when she did is one of the main things. Now, if Hotch had told her that he changed his mind about the transfer and he was going right back to get his job back, without giving her a chance to respond or voice a concern, I could see her being upset and maybe even deciding that things had reached the breaking point. But, he didn't. He hadn't made any permanent decisions then - he just went to help out with one case. The *very* least she could do is wait to talk to him, even if it was to say goodbye. I totally agree Bessie Mae. I think one episode (drawing a blank on the name) last season when it was Hotch's birthday, he took double hits from his wife and sister-in-law. When Gideon called and shes' like "it's your wife". Umm hello, I'd be proud to know my husband was out there putting murderers, rapists, killers -whatever you want to call them - away! Okay so he's not home a lot but no reason to put more pressure on him. Make the best of the time you have while you got it.
Your right, he never made a permanent decision, he told her he'd be back. She could have waited, could have let him say goodbye to her and their son. To just up and walk out like that is, sorry, the cowards way.

#1hotchfan - It was Machimso when they were celebrating his birthday. Isn't it funny how protective we are with these characters? Haley had better straighten up or there will be a lot more "Haley-bashing" headed her way.

Sue1313 - talk about details. How about this one? -- Go back and re-watch The Tribe. When they were walking up the the house the first time with Blackwolf, he told Reid that Hotch carried two guns. When Hotch asked him how he knew, he said "your right instep print is heavier than your left..." But, in LDSK, Hotch carries his spare gun on the inside of his LEFT leg (since he shoots right).

I really do watch these shows over and over and...

Oh you are so good MindsFan. I remember that show and I never put that together. We need to make a list of these things and send them to the writers and say We Notice! I don't think I would have caught that one. Good job!

I also have been thinking about how Haley treated Hotch and I am beginning to think he is better off without her. He doesn't need all the stress she puts him under.

Mindsfan - nice catch! That is funny.... it is amazing all the of the discrepancies we pick up on. I really liked "The Tribe" as it had some great Hotch moments in it! I love when he was called "Captain America' by Blackwolf - LOL! The banter between the two of them was great! If it was nearly 1am, I'd turn it on now and watch it! Do you find this valuable?
