Synopsis:
The BAU is called to Pittsburgh after an unusually high suicide rate appears to be the work of an Angel of Death.


Best Moments Between Characters:
  • When Rossi talked to Hotch on the jet at the end. He asked how it went with Jack and after hearing Hotch out, he replied, "Smart kid, just like his dad." Hotch needed Rossi to step up and he did.
  • Final scene with Morgan and Prentiss...when he explained he owned 4 properties because whether he was taking down bad guys or smashing down walls, both made him feel like he's changing something for the better.

The turning point in the investigation:
When Reid realized that the notes weren't written to anyone in particular but rather a declaration or admission of feelings. He realized that the notes were written as part of the 5 stages of grief, which was done in groups. They figured out the unsub had been going from support group to support group, sharing his story and targeting those he felt "needed" his help.


Whodunit?
Peter Redding. His father, Professor Charles Redding had been molesting Peter's brother James. As they shared a room, they always heard the father coming up the stairs and enter the room, but rather than doing anything, Peter pretended to be asleep. To ease his brother's suffering, he killed his brother and made it look like suicide. When the fire took the lives of the children the previous year, it triggered the feelings inside Peter so he felt the need to aid the parents who he felt suffered from the loss of their children.


Goofs:
When Laurie Ann is talking to Prentiss on the back of the ambulance at the end, Laurie's hair is parted on the left side. When the camera angles flash back and forth from her to her husband and son, her becomes parted on the right side and then changes back to the left side once again.
