I was a bit disapointed by the writers because of some inacuracies in this episode. As a social worker, I have worked with people with anxiety disorders among other issues. Reid had a line stating the term "phobia" isn't even listed as a disorder in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders.
Well, this statement is totally inacurate, as the diagnosis of Specific Phobia is in the most current edition (DSM-IV, pp. 410-417). It is not thought of as an "antiquated term." I usually think the writers do an excellent job, but they really need to get their facts straight if they're going to make such a statement. |

Did anyone happen to catch the quote at the end of the show from Thomas Jefferson? I only heard the end of it and was hoping that someone else got the rest.
