Synopsis:
JJ is approached by a friend of her aunt's who wants the team to search for her missing daughter and her daughter's friends. The team arrives in the town, only to have the parent's at each other's throats about the whole situation. Meanwhile, the captor of the three girls isn't going to let anyone go unless they agree to kill one of themselves.


Best Moments Between Characters:
  • The 3 girls parents starting fighting and finger pointing and JJ gets upset with them and points out that they are giving the man what he wants, they are fighting. She calms the parents down by talking to them and refocusing their train of thought to finding the unsub.
  • On the plane home, Hotch sits down across from JJ and tells her what a great job she did. They talk about small town, her getting out of it and Hotch encourages her to take the classes to go for profiling but JJ politely declines, stating that she likes her position; being the one the families can turn to.

Best Lines:
  • Garcia: "He who seeks the 'Queen of All Knowledge,' speak and be recognized."
    Reid: "Garcia, we're sending you some cigarettes."
    Garcia: "Why not a flesh-eating virus? It'll be faster and far less painful."

  • Reid: "We need some butts rushed to the lab for DNA analysis."
    Garcia: "Oh Reid... I love it when you say 'butts.'"

  • Hotch: "I thought everybody wanted to become a profiler."
    JJ: "Sorry."

The turning point in the investigation:
When they realize a man in an old high school football photo is the kidnapper.\\


Whodunit?
It’s the garbage man, he blew out his knee in the championship game, lost a scholarship to Notre Dame, and everyone forgot about him. He was a teammate of the 3 girls' fathers. He was bent on revenge against them for forgetting about him after his world fell apart. ]

I thought this was one of the more intense of all of the episodes thus far. This one has stuck in my head since the first time it aired and I have not been able to forget it. It was by far I think one of the boldest storylines I've seen by having the 3 girls make a choice and then carry out their decision.

The way they were best friends, even the parents and then how they all turned on each other in a time when they all needed one another just blew my mind. But I think the biggest shocker of the episode was that it was Kelly and not Brooke who didn't make it. Even the cause for the vendetta didn't seem to be drastic enough to have warranted such a crime.

After having seens this episode three times now, it's stuck in my head! I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing.
